Bluegrass Music
Tonight my dad and I got to go play some bluegrass with some of our friends. We had a blast. Here’s our all-star lineup:
Dave Peterson – This guy can sing! (And play every single instrument.)
John Swaim – Guitar – Awesome songwriter and really cool guy!
Ward Stout – Fiddle – Studio fiddler (Tours with Aaron Tippin)
Lee Olsen – Mandolin – Booking agent who used to be in a band with my dad.
My Dad – Banjo
Me – Upright Bass
Student Band

This is the student band at our Wednesday night event called Revolution. They were great tonight. They are great every night. But tonight, wow. A version of Your Love Is Extravagant that I only wish we had recorded.
Lunch Today…
Filet mignon with a red wine/portabello mushroom sauce and roasted asparagus over a bed of egg noodles. Yum.
Rascal Flatts
These guys are awesome. Each year, they give all the proceeds from their Nashville concert to the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. This year they raised $830,000! That is pretty cool if you ask me. Way to go guys! Oh yeah, and the concert rocked. Check out the stage!
The Beginning…
Well, here it is. I took the plunge. After many months of reading the blogs of others, I have started my own. I hope God blesses this blog and will use it for something good, as I have seen with many others. I know I have been encouraged and strengthened by reading other people’s blogs, and that is why I have decided to start my own. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think I am some great person that has the power to affect people with my words, I will leave that up to God, but I am quite intrigued by the online community that has sprung up through blogging. And I am all about community. (You can expect more posts concerning my growing love of “doing life together”.) Anyway, that’s it…the first post. I hope you check in once in awhile, and don’t be afraid to introduce yourself!
